How to add a new bibliographic reference into the wiki ?
- First, go to the page “A bibliography on alternative media”
If you want to add a new reference (book, article, DVD, etc.) in the bibliography, please respect the following indications. Don't forget that one reference can be added into several different sections. For instance, a book on “community radio in Canada”, written by Jean DUBOIS should go in three sections :
- “D” (“Alternative Media Studies by Alphabetic Order”)
- “radio” (“Alternative Media Studies by Category of Medium”)
- “Canada” (“Alternative Media Studies by Country”).
To add a bibliographic reference into the section "Alternative Media Studies by Alphabetic Order"
- Click “Alternative Media Studies by Alphabetic Order”.
- Click on the first letter of the author's name.
- Click “Edit this page”.
- Add the reference respecting the following norms :
For a book :
NAME, Surname (year), //Title of the Book. Sub-Title of the Book//, Place of Publication, Publishing House, Collection, number of pages.
For an article :
NAME, Surname (year), "Title of the Article", //Title of the Review or Magazine//, issue, Place of Publication, Publishing House, Collection, pages.
- NOTE 1 You can select and copy (ctrl+c) right now this text, in order to add it just after in other sections of the bibliography. It's better than rewriting it again !
- Click “Save”
- Check if the reference appears without mistakes on the modified page
- NOTE 2 Don't forget to do the same for the pages in French and Spanish if needed!
