Description
- Piedra Volante (“Rolling Stone”) can be considered as the equivalent in spanish of the US magazine Rolling Stones
- It is the only mexican underground magazine in the 1970's that tried to work in a professional way. It can be associated with the phenomnem of the mexican marginal press
- Eight issues of the magazine have been published between May 1971 and January 1972, when the Mexican Authorities decide to forbid its publication, considering it as a “pornographic” one.
- The majority of the articles were dedicated to modern music (rock), drugs, mode, and political issues.
- It can be considered as the best representant of the growth of a “counter-culture” in Mexico
