Current functions

  • President of Developing Radio Partners, started in 2003 as a U.S. based nonprofit dedicated to improving the flow of information to those who need it most, folks living in developing countries where radio is the most important medium. http://www.developingradiopartners.org/ Also working with the latest SMS text messaging to strengthen community engagement for community radio stations.

Previous functions

  • Worked for ten years with the Open Society Institute, mainly in South Africa, Eastern Europe and Mongolia.
  • Has been as a public radio program developer and station manager in the US
  • Wrote the initial mission for National Public Radio and was hired to implement it as the first director of programming and working with the staff, developed All Things Considered. Later as vice president of WHYY-FM in Philadelphia, developed Fresh Air with Terry Gross from a local to a national program.
